In case you didn’t know…
Eden Hazard bagged four Man of the Match awards in six matches, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the World Cup, making the whole world notice his majestic performances.
The 28-year-old Belgian has managed to continue his red hot form for Chelsea, as his powerful displays have helped Chelsea move into a top 4 spot in the Premier League with 12 goals and 10 assists. The Blues have also reached the Carabao Cup final, and face Manchester City in the quest for silverware.
The heart of the matter
Eden Hazard has entered the last 18 months of his current deal at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues are hopeful he will accept a £350,000 per week extension and commit the remaining years of his peak to the club amid massive interest from Real Madrid.
Cesc Fabregas left the Blues in January to join Ligue 1 Monaco and he believes the 28-year-old would not make an announcement on his future at a crucial stage of the season if he had the intention of leaving.
However, if Hazard is to leave, Fabregas also believes that Real Madrid is the only destination the Belgian would consider.
What’s next?
Eden Hazard, who has openly flaunted his desire to fulfil his dream of playing with Los Blancos, has not signed a new contract yet but will look to focus on the Premier League and the Europa League in this season with The Blues.
