According to a recent post on the developer’s Steam page, the indie survival horror game Chernobylite is offering up some new content. The post goes on to say that the combined income from this “Charity Pack” DLC will go towards The Pure Heart Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is working towards bringing aid to communities in Ukraine at this difficult time.

The add-on is priced at $3.99 and contains some cosmetics, including four wallpapers, two printable posters from the game, as well as a thank-you card from the studio itself. The gaming world at large is making a stand against the invasion, with Humble Bundle raising money for Ukraine, which is currently at a whopping $12 million at the time of writing, and Itch.io recently raising more than $6 million. The Farm 51’s new DLC will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG until March 14, 2023.
With Epic Games and Xbox donating to relief efforts as well, it’s clear that there are those in the industry who are prepared to give in the spirit of helping the Ukrainian population in what must be a traumatic time. Given that The Farm 51 is based in Poland, it’s clear that the developer is passionate about helping out its neighbor. With the DLC being offered up for the next year, fans of the game have a chance to collectively make a difference.
As for the game itself, the horror sci-fi survival game set in the Exclusion Zone after the Chernobyl disaster has enjoyed some success on PC. With Chernobylite due out on PS5 and Xbox Series soon, it has a chance to find a new audience in the current generation of console owners. There’s no word yet about whether the “Charity Pack” will be coming to consoles.
Chernobylite is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X on April 21, along with the Enhanced Edition for PC.
